After it was announced by pro-Trump Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) that he will fly to Wyoming to speak at the state capitol in Cheyenne against NeverTrumper Rep. and GOP Caucus Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY), the RINO (Republican in name only) sent out her spokesperson to throw some low blows at the Trump ally.
The spokesperson hit the Florida congressman after he announced, “I do not want her job. I unequivocally am not seeking a position in House Leadership. I also know Wyoming can do better.”
“Rep. Gaetz can leave his beauty bag at home. In Wyoming, the men don’t wear make-up,” a spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.
Gaetz and other pro-Trump Republicans, including Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT), blasted Cheney after she and nine other RINOs voted with far-left Democrats to impeach President Trump on the false allegation that he “incited insurrection.”
Other RINOs who voted to impeach President Donald Trump added to Cheney’s spokesman’s fodder. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) wrote, on Twitter, “He literally does carry a beauty bag.”
The NeverTrumpers are referring to Gaetz being made-up ahead of his television appearances, which is customary for all commentators on cable news, including Liz Cheney’s father, former Vice President Dick Cheney–a man who said Joe Biden should run for president.
Now, Cheney faces her first 2022 primary opponent, state Sen. Anthony Bouchard. The Wyoming state Republican Party also condemned Cheney’s betrayal of President Trump with a vote censuring her. Also, an online recall petition has drawn more than 53,000 signatures.
