On May 5, Facebook’s Oversight Board is set to meet to decide if President Donald J. Trump will be allowed to return to the platform following a months-long ban since January 7.
“The Oversight Board will announce its decision on the case concerning former US President Trump… on May 5, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m. EDT,” the board posted on Twitter.
Although Facebook was never the President’s social media network of choice, Trump had more than 35 million followers on his page.
After January 6th, Twitter permanently banned Trump. Over the weekend, he mocked the network’s falling stock price, writing, “Twitter stock ‘plunged’ as results are no longer cutting it for investors,” Trump wrote, calling the platform “boring” while adding, “I guess that’s what happens when you go against FREEDOM OF SPEECH! It will happen to others also.”
If the Oversight Board reinstates the 45th President, it will mean the millions of America First patriots can once again interact with the Republican president who has won the most votes in history.
