On the eve of Facebook’s big decision on whether to allow President Donald J, Trump back on its platform, the 45th President launched a brand new communications platform, which looks much like Twitter, to let supporters see his latest statements in real-time.
The platform, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” appears on www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk.
“The technology appears to be powered by Campaign Nucleus— the ‘digital ecosystem made for efficiently managing political campaigns and organizations,’ created by his former campaign manager, Brad Parscale,” says one report.
In a video on the feed, it reads, “in a time of silence and lies, a beacon of freedom arises.” It adds, “A place to speak freely and safely, straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump.”
Facebook is set to decide whether to let him back on its platform tomorrow, May 5th, and this may have been a way for the President to push the Big Tech giant to allow him back. It also could be a sign that the President does not need Facebook, Twitter, or any other Big Tech oligarchs to reach the America First movement.
